About Me & My Blog
Hello.
Welcome to my little cosy corner of the internet, Tea & Tattered Pages.
As a hyperlexic & introverted child, I can't remember a time where I wasn't reading, even if it was newspaper clippings.
Through thoughtful librarians & teachers & grandmoms bedtime stories, I was able to read a lot of wonderful books as a child.
I had a very violent upbringing. But I won't go into that here.
But books were & are my passion and my solace.
Now that I am away from all that, in the peace of my home I can read without being berated or interrupted.
I love research & history as well, sometimes I catch myself in late hours of the night, sipping on a mug of tea, scouring through university archives. At times I think I research more than I read!
You'd think I'd have some kind of degree or something, but the way life has been, I don't.
Sometimes I wonder if unknowingly, I'm a time traveler who's gotten stuck here, but I also love the Internet, so I must make the most of it :P
I chat in some groups on both Librarything & Goodreads, but for a long time I've wanted a little corner all my own to talk about all the things that make me feel cosy & curious. I only hope I can find people who enjoy reading what I have to say.
